1. Being homeless is not a crime. As Mayor, I will fight against homelessness as I did as County Commissioner.

2. I have always been an advocate for people who need help when they are experiencing a tough time in their lives. I believe, as Paul Wellstone did, that serving in elected office is about finding ways to improve people’s lives.

3. I support the legislature passing the Homeowner’s Bill of Rights. I also support the City of Minneapolis partnering with non-profit housing providers to turn unused housing into affordable homes.

4. I support the merit of our City Charters and State laws and will honor both as mayor.

5. Our campaign is seeking the endorsements of all citizens in Minneapolis.

6. I believe that we should always work with residents to the best of our ability with regard to foreclosures.

7. I’m looking forward to talking to residents about Minneapolis’s energy future.

8. I would be interested in exploring any way to end racism and acts of brutality against Minneapolis citizens.

9. I do not support any unnecessary and excessive force used by our police department.

I am running for Mayor to do three things: make Minneapolis the greenest city in North America, care for each one of our city’s children, and foster an environment for Minneapolis workers and businesses to thrive. Only together, through collaboration, can we accomplish great things for everyone in our city.
